Monica made the necklace A Touching Text by learning Braille typing. She has never been in touch with a blind person but has seen Braille text and for her it looks like a beautiful ornament. The necklace is an honor to Louis Braille (1809-1852) who became blind at the age of three and at his age of 15 invented the system of writing when he was a student at the National Institute for Blind Children in Paris. Thanks to Louis Braille and his invention the whole blind world has now a common alphabet.
