Flame-licked straw and melted plastics, intertwined in a dance of dread. A wreath of life and death, of growth and decay. An endless cycle of knowing and forgetting. Two materials on seemingly opposite sides of a spectrum, but which is more natural - straw bought in a store as a conclusion to a chain of exploitation of land and labour, or plastics found lying in nature after being carelessly tossed? The pieces serve as a wearable memento to question consumption as a solution to consumption-based problems - archaic trinkets birthed at the crossroads towards humanity's future.
