In these three pieces of jewelry, Laura Volpi wanted to synthesise the essence of three female archetypes, represented in Greek mythology by these Goddesses: Artemis (essence of the feminine as the infallible capacity for focused action), Demeter (essence of the feminine as the inexhaustible capacity to generate), Hestia (essence of the feminine as the infinite capacity to welcome). As material Laura chose to work with papier-mâché, obtained from the pages of Apollodorus Library book, which narrates the lives of the Greek gods. In this way she intended to incorporate the divine essence into the same material jewels are made of.
