August 1993, São Pedro de Moel, Portugal, where at the end of the beach days, they bought bags of peanuts, pistachios, fruits seeds and cashews from the women with the seven skirts and clogs on their feet. One day their parents bought them pistachio necklaces, this ones, which are rarer. She recalls eating them meticulously, so that the husks remain on the thread and the little artist could wear it during the rest of the summer, her pride and joy. On their way home the little girl remembers hanging them on the room wall, only half a dozen pistachios on a dirty white string.
