One of the themes of Alessandra’s work is translating traditional symbols from the past into the present. She translates universal symbols like heart, labyrinth, proverbs, significant sentences of books into a fragmented, evocative “shadow world”. The shape just vaguely reminds of known objects. Our interpretation is complemented by our implicit knowledge.
