To Lotta Snijder the common link between literature and jewelry is fantasy, to create another reality. The book “Art Forms in Nature” by Ernst Haeckel sparks Snijder´s fantasy, with its detailed illustrations of shapes and patterns in nature. She has materialized the illustrations into a wearable bookmark, a necklace that connects us to nature. Snijder has created the pattern with the traditional silversmithing techniques chasing and repoussé.
