Literature has the power to imprint meaning upon our lives, much as words themselves are imprinted upon the page. It creates connections that remain with us, even though details may fade. We can return again and again, and each time new meanings are revealed. There is something enduring, yet constantly evolving, in how literature affects us. Its resonance changes as we ourselves change, while maintaining its form, its structure, its value. In this series, the essence of that quality is captured through paper impressed upon metal, the constant yet everchanging nature of copper, and the interconnectedness of cord and chain.
