By quoting the famous line from Charles Dickens' novel “Oliver Twist (“Please sir, I want some more”), with this necklace Letizia aims to draw a stigma on the voraciousness of us humans, never satisfied with anything, always wanting more and more, even when we have everything or so much on our plates.
In this materialistic world where strong competition puts so much pressure on all of us, we should stop for a moment and learn how to be happy with the ‘soup’ we’ve got.
