Omnia Vincit Amor is a series of jewels about love. A love as the one described in Plato’s Symposium. In his speech inside that composition, Aristophanes tells about human beings and human condition. According to him, we are nothing but a half creature, looking for its lost couple to rejoin the unity.
These works are obtained by manipulating two balls of casting wax with the hands. I prepared this material through a traditional method, in a mixture of paraffin, rosin and beeswax.
The two spheres mix, attach and unite, until they completely merge into each other. Love wins everything.
