The series of three jewels (War, Slavery, Ignorance) responds to George Orwell's novel “1984”. Each of the jewels expresses one of the three famous slogans from the novel “1984”. Each jewel is composed of a photograph placed in a specific shape. The photograph shows the first word of the slogan (war, slavery, ignorance). The shape is then based on the second word (peace, freedom, strength). The colors of the brooches correspond to the flag of the Russian Federation, thus updating the main idea of the novel to the current world situation.
