The Wandernadel (hiking needle) is an Austrian tradition, rewarding hikers with needles that capture memories of their journeys. These needles embody the essence of hikes, mountains, and paths, creating portable memories. The three needles symbolise the vanishing Dead Sea, losing three feet annually. In time, the Dead Sea will become a dry memory, leaving behind treasured fragments. Each needle holds a salt crystal, which dissolves with time, revealing a flower-like setting. Three identical flowers endure, echoing the nations sharing the Dead Sea.
