To Young-ji Chi , travel is moving to a new dimension. She likes it because everything is different, everything is unfamiliar. New vision, new smell, new sound makes her heart beat fast. It opens the senses wide. She tries to absorb everything with this open sense. This repetitive process purifies and empowers her.
There is no need to remember where it was or when it was. All that’s needed is the after image and feeling that’s left in her mind. She takes them out one by one and put them in her jewelry work with her own “color and texture and subtlety”.
