Freedom is elusive, difficult to gain, and even harder to maintain, much like a delicate seed that must be nurtured to avoid withering. To explore this, the artist undertook a performance where she spent seven days folding flowers, a ritual captured by surveillance to highlight the effort and vulnerability of freedom. After burning the flowers, she transformed the ashes into pearls, symbolising the value of freedom through effort and resilience. From these ashes, she crafted 28 bracelets, each with two beads. These bracelets, like freedom, are transient - capable of being worn, broken, lost, or gifted - mirroring the impermanence and preciousness of freedom itself.
