Inspired by the Portuguese filigree tradition, the beautiful hearts of Viana, Susanne’s pieces are dedicated to the freedom of love. While Portugal celebrates 50 years of freedom, on the other side of Europe, in Russia, people are not free to live how they want, to love whom they want.
Three decades ago Susanne was introduced to filigree in Moscow. With the fine silver hearts for this show, she wanted to build a bridge between the roots of her passion for filigree and the celebration of the freedom to live and love.
