Traveling is like a quest, being physically on the move is a means to see inside spiritually. With her work “Sleepwalker“ Derya wanders the same. She walks through her own body to find her own roots. Like a sleepwalker, her body is in motion but she moves with her subconscious.
She says: “Wherever we are in the world, our body is our only home. It is the only place we cannot escape, the only place we cannot get out of.“
