I had to face the fact, we don't really like freedom. If we have to choose between freedom and prosperity, freedom and security, we usually don't choose freedom. But we also love the legend that we are a people of freedom. But real freedom comes from inner freedom, which sometimes takes the form of outer insecurity. Knowing ourselves is the true freedom. Nature forms man only into a natural being; society into a being acting according to laws; man can form a free being only by himself.
