This artwork reflects Venezuela’s journey to freedom, inspired by the Helicoide - a spiralling structure that once symbolised modernity. It is now notorious for repression and human rights violations. Each piece represents a stage in this struggle: the black represents the descent into authoritarian rule, the grey captures the present state of uncertainty and fleeting hope, while the white embodies the desired future - a free Venezuela. The curves of the artwork mirror the Helicoide’s spiral, reminding us that the path to freedom is winding, filled with obstacles, but always moving forward until the end.
