Through broken instruments, the artist contemplates the loss of freedom and challenges the use of animals in creating these objects. Two antique pianos embody an inner conflict: the recognition of the natural origins of the materials versus the liberation found in giving them a second life.
In the piano mechanisms, the artist discovers birds that, in their new form, embody freedom. This metaphor calls for a reevaluation of the human-bird relationship and a deeper appreciation of the freedom birds symbolize - a freedom once lost to human pleasure, but now reclaimed and honored through creative expression and respect.
